Here is a little more information on the Genesis which has been seen running on the NH Paramus Division. -------------------------- The engine on the left was modified from the engine on the right. This type of engine, known as a Genesis, is used on Amtrak and the Metro North RR which serves NYC and Connecticut. Metro North painted the Genesis into the New Haven version seen here as they have done to other engines in the past.
-------------------------- An access Hatch was added, where the NH is located on the front. The Sand fillers hatches were removed, which are located below each wiper. The number designation board was also removed and new a new number added.
-------------------------- Number designation size changed, the rear door was removed. A new window was added to the left. The sand fillers were lowered just below left window on both sides.
-------------------------- Third Rail pick-ups shoes were added on the rear truck, the front truck also had pick up shoes added.
-------------------------- The original Amtrak truck without pick up shoes.
--------------------------
The large black box to the left, I made to house the speaker to enhance the sound.
-------------------------- Note the flag under the window

-------------------------- Here I am with the Prototype at Danbury, Ct. I choose #228, because it was built in Sept. of 2001.
Good-Bye I am going for a ride on my favorite engine.
